The project:
As part of a transformation program at a state bank, a new core banking system based on SAP standard software is being introduced and integrated into the IT landscape. The aim is to replace existing legacy applications for clients, accounts and loans with modern SAP / SAP Fioneer technology.
In future, syndicated loans will be managed using the modern SAP Complex Loans (CL), which is based on proven SAP CML technology. As a service provider with specialized know-how, employees of ponturo consulting supported both the credit departments and the IT side of the client in this overall bank transformation.
SAP CML – Configuration of various product types, condition types, transaction types and business transactions as well as design of posting logic and definition of account determination.
SAP CL – Configuration of master data, business transactions and sets of rules for mapping complex financing structures.
SAP Financial Accounting – Integration of loan accounting into the bank's central general ledger, including connection of SAP CML to SAP AFI. In addition, a customized solution was developed and implemented for the calculation of income accruals with constant effective interest rates via an external calculation kernel.
SAP PaPM – Introduction of a modelling environment for calculating amortized cost including integration into SAP Credit.
Reporting – Provision of various credit analyses based on CDS views.
Testing & troubleshooting – Support in the design and implementation of sprint-related and exploratory functional and developer tests and, if necessary, the elimination of defects.

In future, the bank's credit application will be replaced by modern SAP / SAP Fioneer technologies and integrated into the bank's overall IT landscape as a central component. With the introduction of SAP Complex Loans, the specialist departments will receive a modern clerk front-end based on SAP Fiori user interface and proven SAP CML back-end technology.
